This past weekend at dinner with friends conversations led to and from the following topics

What is art?

What classifies an artist?

What is America's look?

I have been thinking  about the answer and  the first that came to mind was Converse.   Everyone I know has a pair of these, they seem to have created something that suits everyone, an American Classic.....

Today I can't get enough Mid Century Modern meets Glam.  I love a Juxt position and think the combination is what makes it.  Love the warmth and cold in these images. 

Luxury and Grit

I am inspired by different things every day but a constant source of inspiration for me has always been architecture, a well constructed suit and the juxt position of feminine and masculine,  luxury and grit. 

A blue blood in an expensive suit is nice, put it on Kieth Richards or witness Jean Michel Basquiat paint in a black label Armani suit and you have me.  The reason this works is the juxt position, they dance along the edge.   

To me style suggests I just rolled out of bed and thew this on.  It's the devil may care and I find it deeply intoxicating. 

I aim to create heirloom pieces, the kind passed down, stock your closet with classic pieces that are timeless and you will always feel and look good. 
 
Without grit there is no honesty, without luxury there is no comfort, no allure and no point.

Decadence is the allure and the promise....
